WHAT: A culinary competition featuring 11 of St. Augustine’s Top Restaurants serving the finest cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, entrees and desserts.

“For the past five years we have successfully hosted the Great Chefs of Jacksonville at TPC Sawgrass,” says Jacksonville Magazine publisher Joseph White. “It seems only natural to expand the idea to include St. Augustine’s outstanding culinary scene. The key to launching it in the Oldest City was finding the ideal location. At Treasury on the Plaza we have found it. The historic and visually stunning venue is perfect for showcasing the finest chefs in St. Augustine.”

Chef Chris Proulx, from Avilés Restaurant & Lounge at the Hilton on the Bay Front, will provide hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour.
The culinary theme of the evening will focus on Florida – grown ingredients. Guests will cast votes following each course, with the winning team named at night’s end based on patrons’ choices.
The St. Augustine office of Catholic Charities will receive 100 percent of the proceeds from Great Chefs of St. Augustine, enabling the organization to provide meals for children through its Back Roads Mobile Food and Weekend Hunger Backpack programs. Catholic Charities provides its services to all denominations.
