Dear Catholic Charities Supporters,
In times as turbulent as these, we are reminded of the transformative power of generosity and grace. Suzie* is a local resident and a young mother of a 10-year-old boy. After struggling with a harsh living situation, faced two months of living between their car and homeless shelters.
One Saturday during a Food Outreach in Hastings, our Office Manager encountered Suzie. As they began to discuss our programs together, Suzie was able to share her story. From there, a caseworker began working with Suzie to help stabilize her situation and find a housing option- leading to a house they could finally call home. Both Suzie and her son have contagious smiles and found joy in the small things we often take for granted, such as being able to decorate a room and cook homemade meals.
At Catholic Charities St. Augustine, we’ve served countless individuals just like Suzie. Our programs tackle hunger and homelessness among our community’s most vulnerable, connecting them with critical resources to help them get back on their feet. If you are in a position to give during this Christmas season, we humbly ask that you consider a donation to Catholic Charities St. Augustine. Any contribution – no matter the amount – helps ensure that our important mission remains fully operational throughout our community.
Your support will directly impact the multitudes of families, children, and seniors we serve. I hope you’ll join us as we work to capture the hope of Christmas and provide for those who need it most.
With immense gratitude,
Ricardo Rosado-Rodriguez
Regional Director, Catholic Charities St. Augustine
