In the aftermath of natural disasters and other crises, Catholic Charities St. Augustine works to help stabilize our community by directly assisting individuals in need. From financial assistance to case management, our team uplifts local families when they need it most. Many of these families have lost everything - homes, cars, belongings, and even loved ones. By providing tireless support to those who need us, we live our mission of providing compassion to the community’s most vulnerable.

A STORY OF NEW BEGINNINGS:
THE NEWMANS
The Newman* family in Putnam Country was living in a mobile home that had been damaged by flooding. The water was so high and came in so fast under the home that it ripped out all the A/C ducts and destroyed the insulation under the home as well as the flooring inside. We collaborated with a partner agency to install new flooring throughout the home. Catholic Charities St. Augustine was able to reinsulate the underside of the mobile home as well as install new A/C ducts and a new unit for the Newmans.
