Put your passion into action…

Great Chefs of St. Augustine IV • May 24, 2018

The Great Chefs of St. Augustine, hosted by the Jacksonville Magazine, returns for its’ fourth year, Thursday, May 24, 6PM at the River House of St. Augustine.  Modeled after popular TV culinary competitions, the event is a contest between two teams made up of some of the best city’s chefs.

Members of Team Mainland and Team Island will work together to produce an exceptional four-course dinner paired with wines from Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits.  Diners should come hungry as the chefs go head-to-head and the patrons judge each course which will determine the wining team.

Chef Ben Loose, Gas Full Service Restaurant
Chef Bob Henle, The Reef
Chef Fred Underhill, Sunset Grille
Chef Tasha Peters, By Design Catering
Jason Barone, mixologist, Conch House

Jason Gustavson, mixologist, Prohibition Kitchen
Chef John Botkin, Casa Monica Resort & Spa
Chef Genie McNally, The Floridian Restaurant
Chef Matthew Brown, Collage
Chef Nils Rowland, Crème de la Cocoa

This friendly competition has one common goal – to feed others.  100% of the proceeds from the Great Chefs of St. Augustine will go directly to the purchase of food for the Weekend Hunger Backpack Program which helps feed children who face hunger and the Back Roads Program which provides food to low income families in rural areas with limited access to nutritional food.  Last year we distributed over 68,550 pounds of food and with your help, we will continue to impact our communities in St. Johns, Putnam and Flagler County.

Please join us in our mission and support the May 24th Great Chefs of St. Augustine IV.  We are proud of our successes made possible by the generous support of our donors.  Thank you for helping us make a difference in our communities and for putting COMPASSION INTO ACTION!
