Transform lives…

DONATE TODAY!
BE A VOLUNTEER

In Flager, Putnam and St. Johns County, 47,000 people face food insecurity every day – a staggering figure that illustrates the intense need right here in our own backyard.

Join Catholic Charities St. Augustine as we work to raise awareness and funds for our critical programs that fight hunger this fall. The FastGiving campaign is a virtual fundraising event on November 20 that calls on our community to pledge to volunteer, donate or fast to help us meet the need this holiday season.

There are three ways you can join us for FastGiving:

Pledge to FAST

In the Catholic faith, fasting from food represents personal sacrifice that creates room for us to focus our thoughts on what’s really important. Pledge to fast for just one meal – or join us in fasting for the entire day on November 20.

We are encouraging those who fast to donate the money that they would have spent towards meals to Catholic Charities St. Augustine so that we can pay it forward to those who are hungry this holiday season.

Choose your gift of $15 (one meal) $30 (two meals), $45 (three meals) – or more if you are able – then click the button below to pledge to fast on November 20.

Share your anticipated participation in FastGiving with your friends, coworkers and loved ones to help bring awareness to the issue of hunger in our community – and how we help.

Commit to VOLUNTEER

Your time is incredibly valuable this holiday season. We are in need of dedicated volunteers to help serve our mission – especially for our food distributions, which provide meals to hundreds of local families in need. Commit to volunteer with Catholic Charities St. Augustine and share your participation with friends and family to encourage others to do the same.

Decide to DONATE

This year, the need for our programs has been greater than we could have ever anticipated. Whether of not you are able to fast, we welcome you to make your donation to the FastGiving campaign during the month of November. Share your participation with those you know to help spread the generosity.

SHARE YOUR PARTICIPATION

HOW CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF ST. AUGUSTINE HELPS

At Catholic Charities St. Augustine, we have been serving these counties for more than 50 years, so we’ve seen the consistent need for food, even in places you might not expect. But the reality is that hunger doesn’t have a zip code – many families are a few missed paychecks away from not being able to put food on the table.

Last year, we distributed nearly 133,500 pounds of food to more than 5,000 clients through the Catholic Charities Pantry. And just since the pandemic began earlier this year, we’ve distributed more than nearly 10,000 pounds of food to those in need. We continue to adjust and make additional efforts to help those who need us most.

We are endlessly grateful for your support as we continue our mission: putting faith into action to help people of all backgrounds while advocating for justice, human dignity and quality of life.
